The water line (or supply line, lateral) is the pipe that runs from the council main at your boundary toby valve into your property, supplying your house. Council is responsible for the main itself; you, the property owner, are responsible for the supply line from the toby onwards. We work on the property owner's side — the water line.

The council main (in the street) is the responsibility of Hamilton City Council or your relevant Waikato district council, and is repaired by their contractors.
